Biloxi casino revenue down 26%

BILOXI, Mississippi -- As reported by the Sun-Herald: "Hurricane Gustav didn't do a lot of damage to the Biloxi casinos when it flooded parts of the Coast over the Labor Day weekend, but the storm hit September casinos revenue like a Category 3.



"Gross casino revenue was down 26 percent for the month compared with September 2007 and 23 percent below August 2008.

"The state figures, due out this week, will include the gross online gambling of all 11 Coast casinos.

"The Biloxi casinos closed early Aug. 31 as Gustav approached, and reopened throughout the day Sept. 3..."

The casino games features an award-winning buffet and the Overland Cafe. Enjoy Boomtown’s King crab legs Friday and Saturday nights. There also is a 24-hour grill and bakery. Catch the champagne brunch Saturday and Sunday starting at 11 a.m.
